The Feasting Shed – Werribee What a hidden gem! Tucked away at the back of a nursery, The Feasting Shed offers a truly unique and charming dining experience. From the moment you walk through the lush nursery and into the courtyard, it feels like stepping into a green escape—welcoming, peaceful, and full of character. Interior & Ambience: The space has a rustic, earthy charm—brick floors, warm plywood tones, and hanging plants and art that create a relaxed and leafy feel. There’s a casual elegance that makes you want to settle in and take your time. We sat indoors where the temperature was perfect, and the South American-style music playing softly in the background added a unique, worldly atmosphere that complemented the space beautifully without disrupting conversation. Service: Professional yet warm. We were greeted on arrival and given the choice of sitting inside or in the courtyard. Service throughout was attentive and polished without feeling formal. A lovely detail we appreciated: being served sparkling water with our coffee before the main dishes—a refined touch that speaks volumes about the level of care in the experience. Food: The food is the true standout—rich in flavour, balanced in texture, and deeply satisfying. Every dish felt thoughtfully composed and prepared with purpose. Here’s what we tried: Spicy Leaf Tea (Pot): Fragrant, warming, and full-bodied—this hit all the right notes on a cool morning. Seasonal Indonesian Blend Coffee: Smooth, slightly earthy, with a lovely depth. It was clearly a carefully selected single-origin roast that elevated the experience well beyond your average café coffee. Mushroom Toast: A star dish. The mushrooms were savoury and perfectly cooked, layered over a white bean purée that added creaminess and body. The confit garlic added richness and depth, and the portion was generous. Adding poached eggs made it even more indulgent. Welsh Rarebit: Pure comfort food done with finesse—oozy, cheesy, and golden, with just enough mustardy kick to keep it interesting. Apple Crumble Porridge: Soul-warming and nostalgic, with a lovely baked crumble topping and just the right amount of sweetness. Hearty and perfect for the cooler season. Shoestring Fries with Beetroot Sauce: Crispy, golden, and addictive. The beetroot sauce was a surprising standout—earthy, creamy, and slightly sweet, a perfect pairing. Pistachio Cheesecake Slice: Decadent and memorable. The cheesecake was smooth and creamy with a beautiful pistachio flavour and a crunchy base that gave it structure and bite. Everything we ate had layers of flavour, thoughtful garnishes, and a beautiful sense of balance. It’s the kind of menu that makes you want to come back and try every single dish—because you can tell they all have something special to offer. Parking: There is dedicated onsite parking, though it’s limited. If full, there’s kerbside parking available on the main road outside, but be patient—traffic can get busy, and it’s important to take care when pulling in or out of the lot. Final Thoughts: The occasional sound of a passing train is the only small drawback, but the peaceful setting, incredible food, and attentive service easily outweigh it. Don’t forget to stroll through the nursery after your meal—it’s a perfect extension of the experience. The greenery is gorgeous, and you just might find the perfect plant to take home. The whole nursery-café combo is beautifully done. We visited during the Autumn menu, but now we’re determined to return and work our way through the rest of what’s on offer—the food is just that good. Highly, highly recommended. If you're looking for a brunch or lunch spot that feels special, thoughtful, and grounded in great food and a relaxed setting, The Feasting Shed is a must-visit in Werribee.

The photo may not be as great but the food was AMAZING!! I usually don't eat a lot of meat but this Welsh Rarebit had the flavours I truly relished with it's simplicity! The matcha is so good and earthy and I tried with coconut milk Having the garden cafe feeling is so cute and pretty! There are desserts I will definitely come back for as they seem so amazing and seem to change every week!!

Had a special high tea here with the family and it was lovely! The table was beautifully decorated, the sandwiches and cakes were delicious, and the service was nice too. It was nice to have a walk through the nursery afterwards as well. It was also great that they accommodated for gluten free - a whole set of sandwiches and cakes just for me!
